Hello Coin Aficianados to First-Time Collectors,
I must say that over the past 22 years I have met some very eccentric and interesting people that collect coins. Each one of these avid collectors, serious numismatists, or newbies had specific coins they liked best and for very different reasons. The energy and passion they speak of these and other coins provides me great excitement to get up everyday with anticipation to hear the next story of why people love a certain coin or set of coins. Every coin utilized from the ancient times through today all have interesting stories to tell and the presence of these underlying stories of the era, and the times the coin came into existense.
I am so excited about the opportunity to share my knowledge about US Minted coins, World coins, Ancient coins, treasure coins, plus, available commerative coin sets and the rarest, scarcest coins in the world. My love for coin collecting has driven me to begin my Preferred Coin Expert blog and the creation of my business Precious Metal Advocates. It's allowing me the chance to meet and share with a great number a people how sexy and cool these coins really are and the value to begin collecting coins now. So today I will begin my historical walk through of my reveiw of the US Mint, and the highly desirable coins they have created since their creation by our government.
Let's begin our tour of some of the most beautiful coins ever created.
The first, a Fugio Cent. This coin is one of the very first coins minted by our U.S. government. It was designed by one of America's favorite founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin. The obverse featured a sundial and the sun along with the year, 1787. Also, the famous word "FUGIO" (I Fly), and the legend that said, "Mind your business". Whereas, the reverse featured 13 linked circles with the legends "we are one"and "United States". This cent is also known as the Ben Franklin Cent.
Another collector's favorite is the famous three-cent Nickel. Yes, a three cent nickel! The nickel does not necessarily mean five cents. In this case, it happens to be the type of metal used to produce this coin. This beautiful coin was minted between 1865 - 1889 and was designed by the very well known James B. Longacre.
The three cent pieces had originally been minted in silver, however there were so many people hoarding silver they decided to the mint the coin in copper and nickel. Thus, giving it the name the Three Cent Nickel.
Oh, by the way, the reason for the denomination of three cents was due to the fact that postage stamps went from two to three cents. A great historical coin to be sure.
At least three days a week I will be sharing these very informational, fun facts about our US Mint and the coins they create for our enjoyment and for commerce.
Contact myself or one of my Preferred Customer Advocates at 1-888-566-6468or email me at pmasales@pmacoins.com. I am anxiously awaiting your call to talk to numismatists, coin collectors or first time collectors around the globe about their collections, how I may help them obtain rare, scarce or specialty coins for their collections or anything else about coins. Please use my 22 years of experience as a Precious Metal Expert and the solid relationships around the globe I have developed over that time to find you buyers for your collections, provide professional appraisal services and/or buy collectibles I have for your valued purchase.
Happy Hunting,
Jim

Precious Metal Silver offers an extremely attractive buy ... Pure Value
No matter what your buying from Silver Coins to Bullion, Silver Collectibles to Jewelry, Silver presents an extremely attractive position in the marketplace to buy now. Gold has been roaring, screaming upward while Silver has climbing at a controlled growth. Silver offers a superior postion to buy because the price of Silver to gold offers a significant price differential. The percentage difference is by far the largest ever and historically Silver will make a move to close the gap between these two Precious Metals.
